The ten pieces to save this winter

Ten pieces from all our stories, the ones we would buy first. Save yours; the list re-orders itself by readers’ saves.

Our verdict

If you buy only ten things this autumn and winter, buy these. Then save the ones you want, and watch the list re-order itself by what readers save.

All our stories, more than a hundred pieces. This is the short list: the ten pieces that appeared most often in our outfits and that work across most of the six style worlds. We chose them by one test: does the piece make at least three other things in a wardrobe better?

The list below starts in our order. Every piece has a save button. Saves are counted across all readers, and as they come in, the list re-orders itself so the most saved piece is at the top. That is The Edit as readers write it.

Why these ten

The ecru cable turtleneck. It appears in eight of our other stories, under barn jackets, camel coats, lace dresses and white shirts. No single piece did more work.

The black loafer. The only shoe that belongs in every style world, as story twenty shows.

The brown suede ankle boot. The answer to wide trousers, field jackets and winter white.

The chocolate lace dress. Worn three ways in story seven: dinner, office, weekend.

The camel coat. The coat to buy before any other, as story two argues.

The black tailored blazer. Over lace, over a white shirt, over knits, with a brooch.

The brown suede bag. Chocolate is the dark neutral of the season, see story six.

The merino turtleneck. The base layer that does not need a big price.

The field jacket. Khaki coded, story eleven.

The white shirt. The winter layer, story twenty-six.

A piece earns its place if it makes three other things better.

How the list works

  • Press "Save" on any piece. It is remembered in your browser and counted, anonymously, for everyone.
  • The order updates from the live count of saves. Next to each piece you see how many readers saved it.
  • Saved pieces also appear in The Friday Edit, our weekly letter.

What it tells us

What people save is a clearer signal than what they click. A save means "I would buy this." For STYLERZ, the fashion app we are building, those signals are the starting point: an app that knows from day one which pieces people actually want.

Prices

All ten are real pieces, priced as listed on their shops on 7 October 2026. Prices in Swedish kronor and pounds are converted at the ECB reference rate of 6 October 2026.1 The shop is always right if the price has changed.
